Treatment FAQs

What is Meso Body Slim?

Meso Body Slim harnesses the mesotherapy gun to inject a cocktail of natural extracts, minerals, vitamins and fat emulsifying acids into the body that help to improve cellulite and crepey skin, as well as effecting overall slimming and alleviating heavy legs.

Developed by French doctor Michel Pistor in the 1950s for pain relief, the mesotherapy gun delivers rapid multiple intradermal microinjections, and is used for this procedure.

For example, in slimming heavy legs, caffeine, DMAE (skin-tightening compound) and L-Carnitine (an amino acid that converts fat into energy) speed up circulation, boost metabolism and help to drain water retention.

What does it treat?

Meso Body Slim can target a range of problems from slimming down heavy legs, cellulite dimples to tightening up crepey thighs.

How does Meso Body Slim improve cellulite?

Our custom cocktail of ingredients works to improve cellulite in various ways. Firstly, Meso Body Slim contains deoxycholic acid which is a fat-emulsifier that works to shrink fat cells and increase the rate at which they are metabolised. As a result, there is less fat constrained by the connective tissues that force fat upwards towards the skin, improving the appearance of cellulite. Secondly, the DMAE in our Meso Body Slim solution combined with RadioFrequency or Ultra Body Lift (HIFU) works to tighten skin and reduce sagging, restoring skin's integrity so cellulite is less visible.

Is the procedure painful?

Despite what might be conjured up by the concept of rapid multiple microinjections, Meso Body Slim is a virtually painless procedure. Mesotherapy uses an air gun with a very thin needles that perform superficial injections which may cause, at worst, very minor discomfort.

How long until I see results?

It is likely you will see results instantaneously after the first or second treatment, but we recommend a course of treatments for optimal results, the length of which will depend on the area being treated.

What, if any, aftercare instructions should I follow?

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive treatment so you will be able to return to your daily activities almost immediately.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are rare and minimal, but some patients may experience redness, minor swelling or tenderness in the areas that have been treated. These should resolve of their own accord after a few days, at the most.
