Liquid Lipo

Liquid Lipo
Liquid Lipo injections are a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction that target and dissolve stubborn pockets of fat that can't otherwise be minimised with diet and exercise.
Treatment FAQs
What is Liquid Lipo?
Liquid Lipo is a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction and is the perfect treatment for reducing larger, more stubborn pockets of fat found, for example, on the hips, inner thighs, lower stomach, and chin. Biocompatible and biodegradable, the Liquid Lipo injections use a gel-based aqueous solution comprised of Deoxycholic acid that effectively dissolves our fat tissue.
How does it work?
Deoxycholic acid works in our intestine to emulsify and solubilize dietary fats. It disrupts the membranes of fat cells, destroying the cells and releasing fatty acids which your body then expels naturally. In this way, Liquid Lipo triggers adipocytolysis; it works to decrease the number of fat cells in the adipose tissue through dissolution.
This is a distinct process from lipolysis, which refers to the body's metabolic process by which energy is stored as fat is broken down so that, after various biochemical reactions, glucose can be made available to the body when fasting or exercising.
Details of the procedure
The solution is injected via needle or canula directly into the subcutaneous adipose tissue wherever fat dissolution is desired. Within the weeks that follow, the treated fat cells will gradually dissolve, and fat will be metabolised at a higher rate (in the treated area).
How long until I see results?
It is possible to see results of the Liquid Lipo treatment immediately, however due to the fact that it triggers a biochemical reaction in the cells, the visible effects progress over a few weeks. Although it is likely that you will see changes after your first treatment, more than one session is usually required to achieve the best results.
Is the procedure painful?
Liquid Lipo injections are generally well tolerated by patients and do not require anaesthesia, although it is available for patients who request it.
What, if any, aftercare instructions should I follow?
Avoid touching the treatment area for 6 hours following the treatment. After that, the area can be gently washed with soap and water, and light makeup can be applied in the case of the neck/jaw area after 24 hours.
Until the initial swelling has resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat or extreme cold and use SPF to protect your skin.
Certain medications, such as aspirin, can affect blood's natural disposition to clotting which may increase swelling and/or bruising at the site of treatment if taken.
Are there any side effects?
The results directly after the treatment do not represent the final result; possible side effects following treatment, including redness, swelling, tenderness, tingling/itching sensation, can affect the appearance of the treated area. These side effects are a normal reaction to the treatment and should subside after a few days.
Can I combine other treatments with Liquid Lipo?
In order to maximise the results of Liquid Lipo, the doctors in our clinic highly recommend following the fat-dissolving injections with Ultra Bodylift.
The amazing ultrasound treatment that is Ultralift is now available for the entire body due to the Ultraformer III; a unique, patented ultrasound device designed exclusively for the contours of your body.
Ultra Bodylift uses Multi-Functional High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin. Warm pulses of ultrasound energy are delivered deep under the skin, causing the muscle layer to contract. The gentle heat also encourages a natural process of rejuvenation, stimulating collagen production making skin firmer, brighter, tighter, and more elastic.
Ultra Bodylist with Liquid Lipo not only helps with fat reduction, but also tones and firms the skin, for a pert body without going under the knife.
