Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells. When injected into skin, Profhilo® stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin.

One of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market, Profhilo® not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.

As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.

Profhilo® can be used to treat loose, wrinkled and crepey skin all over the body but is commonly used on the face, neck, décolleté and hands. Following treatment you can expect improved skin tone, texture, elasticity, and firmness, along with increased hydration and radiance.

Following a consultation, ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. For facial rejuvenation, the solution is injected into the skin at
5 points on each side of the face. The full treatment should take no longer than half an hour.

For optimal results, two treatments spaced a month apart are recommended. To maintain the effects of Profhilo®, we recommend another treatment every 9-12 months.

Profhilo® is injected using a very fine needle to minimise discomfort. Anaesthetic numbing cream is available for patients who request it.

Profhilo® is a very low-risk procedure. However, you may experience mild redness, pain, itching, discoloration, or tenderness at the injection sites, which should fade quickly. Aftercare for Profhilo is similar to other injectable treatments. You can use a cold pack to reduce redness or swelling and stay hydrated to ensure optimal results.

Downtime is minimal and most patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately after treatment. As with all injectable procedures, you should avoid UV exposure, strenuous activity and extremes of temperature for at least 24 hours following treatment or until any swelling or redness has subsided.

Results can be seen as early as 4 weeks after your first treatment. Some patients may notice improvement 1-2 days post-treatment, while others may not see changes until after their second treatment. Full effects are typically observed 8-10 weeks after the initial treatment.

The effects of Profhilo® last for around 4-6 months after your second treatment. To maintain the effects, we recommend having a treatment every 9-12 months.

Profhilo® is suitable for anyone over 18 years old experiencing skin laxity issues.

It is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals or those with a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid.
