Botanical Actives · How to Use
How to Build Your Dr Sebagh Botanical Skincare Routine
One of the practical advantages of botanical actives over synthetics is compatibility. Unlike retinol, vitamin C, and AHAs — which frequently conflict when layered — the Dr Sebagh botanical formulations are designed to work together. Here is how to sequence them for maximum, compounding effect.
01 — The Principle
How to Layer
Apply in order from lightest to richest, most concentrated to most protective. Serums go on clean skin first — where absorption is highest — followed by moisturiser to seal in actives and support the barrier. SPF is the final step every morning without exception. In the evening, the overnight window is when skin cell turnover peaks: use it for your most concentrated repair and renewal formulations.
02 — The Routines
Morning & Evening, Step by Step
☀ Morning
Antioxidant Protection & Active Hydration- Rose de Vie Cream Cleanser — gentle cleanse that preserves the skin's lipid balance
- Supreme Eye Serum or Exo C Booster — eye treatment first, while skin is clean and most receptive
- Signature Serum (optional) — concentrated treatment step for texture or pigmentation concerns
- Supreme Day Cream or Vital Cream — date seed extract and watermelon antioxidant protection
- Vitamin C Brightening Primer SPF 15 — UV defence with botanical brightening. Non-negotiable.
◑ Evening
Repair, Renewal & Deep Nourishment- Rose de Vie Cream Cleanser — double cleanse if wearing SPF; all residue off before applying actives
- Rose de Vie Serum or Signature Serum — concentrated botanical treatment; Rose de Vie for targeted Rosa Canina therapy, Signature for full-face regeneration
- Supreme Night Secret or Extreme Maintenance Cream — Rosa Canina and date seed extract overnight. Night Secret for all skin types; Extreme Maintenance for mature or very dry skin
- Weekly: Skin Perfecting Mask or Rose de Vie Hydrating Mask in place of step 3
03 — The Eye Area
Eye Area: Which Product, When
- Supreme Eye Serum (Chlorella Vulgaris + Hibiscus Abelmoschus) — daily treatment for expression lines and loss of firmness around the eye contour
- Instant Fix Eye Lift Gel (Alteromonas ferment) — immediate visible lifting; use before an event rather than as a daily treatment
- Exo C Booster (Helichrysum Italicum) — morning use targeting dark circles and puffiness; microcirculatory benefits are most visible with consistent daily application
04 — Layering Rules
What to Know Before You Layer
- All Dr Sebagh botanical actives are compatible with one another — layer freely within the range without risk of conflict or irritation
- If combining with synthetic actives from other brands, check for retinol and acid contraindications before layering
- SPF every morning — botanical antioxidants enhance photoprotection but do not substitute for broad-spectrum UV defence
- Consistency matters more than quantity: daily application at the right concentration outperforms irregular intensive use
- Allow 30–60 seconds between steps for serums to absorb before applying the next layer
