The treatment consists of injecting a natural substance known as hyaluronic acid beneath the skin using an ultra-fine needle or cannula.

The Hyaluronic Acid fillers typically include added anaesthetic, making the treatment relatively pain-free. If required, topical anaesthetic can be applied to the area before treatment for increased comfort.

Generally, treatment with dermal filler is a very safe procedure with minimal side effects. There may be some swelling and minor bruising after treatment but these should resolve on their own accord.

There is little to no downtime after Dermal Filler with most patients able to resume their daily activities immediately after treatment. For 24 hours following treatment it is recommended that you avoid strenuous exercise, UV exposure, saunas as well as alcohol.

Results are immediately visible and the final result will be visible after any swelling has reduced.
